Coming upon the Filipino community on board very shortly is their Independence Day which is on June 12. In preparation for their celebrations, I have been working with the Filipino unit representatives to organize some fun activities and sports events commemorating traditional games that take place back home in the Philippines. Here are a few pictures from the first basketball game marking the start of the sports events. Some of the other activities that will be taking place soon are Karaoke Superstar, dart and pool tournaments, tug of war, and special traditional Filipino foods and meals.
