140 Years Young: HAL Launches Culinary Program

HAL and Food & Wine Magazine

May 20, 2005: Holland America Line partners with Food & Wine magazine to launch an ambitious on-board culinary program. The multi-year partnership provides HAL guests with an opportunity to experience demonstrations and seminars conducted by top chefs, wine experts and leading cookbook authors provided by Food & Wine. The partnership is part of the broader Culinary Arts Center program featuring state-of-the-art show kitchens, large plasma video screens and large cooking display counters where guests can learn how to prepare a variety of culinary treats.

    Does it cost to go to the demonstrations and seminars? If so how much?

    The demonstrations in the CAC center are complimentary.

    We love the demonstrations and the classes.. From learning about the local food to great wine tasting. March is too far away.
