Cruise Diary: Cagliari Cathedral
Yvon and Cees Kloppenburg were on a back-to-back western Mediterranean cruises on board Ryndam. They chronicled their cruising experience for us on the blog.
Climbing a steep hill is the way to find the most historic sites of Cagliari. It is a climb of about a little more than half an hour to reach the Porta Christina. If you do not want to climb you can take a taxi or the tourist train from the main square, where you are treated to beautiful views of the city and historic buildings.

It looks like the pope wants to stop me from taking a picture of Yvon, but that is not the case. They reproduced a picture of the pope and hung it in the cathedral.

Government meeting building. When you're at the entrance you get the feeling that visitors are not allowed, but it is definitely allowed. Walk up the stairs and you will be impressed.
