Oosterdam Witnesses Rare Total Solar Eclipse
On November 14, 2012, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Oosterdam was an honored witness of a total solar eclipse while cruising the Coral Sea. The solar eclipse started at approximately 6:49 a.m. and ended at approximately 8:58 a.m. Special ‘solar eclipse glasses’ were given to all guests and crew members. The guests and crew members of Oosterdam had a memorable and pleasurable experience, one which will never be forgotten. Stories from the sea, past and present

i was on board! and it’s great moment i ever had..!
Amazing ! Thank you for these spectacular photos !!
amazing
The ship captain made not attempt to get out from under the clouds so we saw much less than we might have. Very disappointing.
I was there. We almost missed totality if it was not for the lucky hole in the clouds. No blame to captain but the strict system that follows way points regardless. And blue sky all around. Disappointed.
Awesome,,!!!!
