When travelers book a cruise to Norway, they know they’ll be in for some spectacular scenic cruising.
A cruise ship can travel deep into the heart of the fjords, where waterfalls adorn the surrounding cliffs and charming villages pop up at the most unexpected locations.
Often photos don’t adequately capture the beauty of the region where the scale is often too large to fit into the frame, but the ones below beautifully show what’s waiting on a cruise to Norway.
We boarded Euordam on Aug 8, 2013, and our first seven days were the Norwegian Fjords. After leaving Flam the ship sailed to the Hardanger Fjords and we enjoyed magnificent scenery. Here are my best shots. — Liz Lewis
Guest Elise D. also took a Norway cruise last season and snapped some beautiful photos during her scenic cruising around the area.
I was most looking forward to sailing in Geirangerfjord because I had heard how incredible the scenery would be. After a very foggy morning we got lucky and the skies cleared for a beautiful sailaway from Geiranger back out of the fjord. What a memorable day! — Elise
During our call at Alesund, we took a tour to explore Hjorundfjord, a 20-mile-long fjord that was beautifully eerie on the cloudy day. It was breathtaking. — Guest Elise
