These photos were taken during Amsterdam’s double call at Half Moon Cay with Eurodam on December 21 and with Prinsendam on December 23. The weather was nice and as you know the island is still 1st place for many good reasons including its sandy beaches and water sports. Enjoy the photos!

Here are some photos from the New Year’s celebration held on board Amsterdam, the “International New Year’s Buffet 2013.” Crew members dressed in traditional costumes of different nationalities. International flags were hung in the atrium since it is close to the Queen’s Lounge where the countdown was held at 00.00 hours. Happy New Year 2013!

Prinsendam is now is in dry dock at Freeport, Bahamas, until Nov. 29. We celebrated Thanksgiving despite all of the work going on around us. We have more than 300 contractors and more than 300 crew members staying and working onboard during the duration of the dry dock. The culinary team created an excellent menus with great selections for our crew and contractors. The dining room was decorated with banners and American flags and many people wore turkey hats. We have quite a few Americans working onboard and they appreciated what we served. Enjoy the photos!

This past Sunday, the Prinsendam called at Catania, Sicily instead of its original port of call, Suosse, Tunisia. Although we missed out on Suosse, I found Catania to be a very nice city with a lot of pretty buildings, but the cathedral was by far my favorite. They also have trolleys that can take you around the city, which makes for a more effective way to see the city and it only costs five Euros per person. Enjoy the photos!

These photos of the Stromboli Volcano were taken after departing Civitavecchia. It was a clear blue sky and we were able to enjoy the island’s scenic views as we cruised around the volcano and also some beautiful views of the houses on the islands. Guests and crew enjoyed commentary from the Bridge and of course the Volcano itself.
