Ryndam and AIDAluna met up in Bergen, Norway, on June 7th and the crews decided to play a friendly game of soccer during some free time. Fun was had by all and ended with a gracious tie. Enjoy the pics!

Last month the Nieuw Amsterdam was fortunate to view the UEFA Champion League Finals, Barcelona vs. Manchester United. The crew were roaring and playing the drums, it was a very exciting night around the ship for all passengers & crew!

Here are a few shots from the grand opening of the Eurodam Crew Bar. This project was in the making for a year and we are delighted to finally open its doors.

The Filipino Chairman Doris Pueda, Indonesian Chairman Muhammad Yahya and Captain Darin Bowland cut the ribbon.

The bar and decorations were built by the onboard facilities team that was present for the opening.

Coming upon the Filipino community on board very shortly is their Independence Day which is on June 12. In preparation for their celebrations, I have been working with the Filipino unit representatives to organize some fun activities and sports events commemorating traditional games that take place back home in the Philippines. Here are a few pictures from the first basketball game marking the start of the sports events. Some of the other activities that will be taking place soon are Karaoke Superstar, dart and pool tournaments, tug of war, and special traditional Filipino foods and meals.

The Oosterdam Crew enjoyed a beautiful day out on the Bering Sea Fisherman’s Tour on the Deadliest Catch Boat the Aleutian Ballad. The weather was clear and sunny for the first call of summer. From crabs to octopus the crew touched all kinds of creatures from under the sea. Thanks, Captain Dave!
