Thanks to HAL guest Ed for sending in these great pictures of his dining experience in the Tamarind Restaurant on Nieuw Amsterdam.

On top of that, the presentation was beauty to behold. — Ed

Modern cruise ships, at least the larger ships, offer a variety of dining choices, cuisines and venues. Holland America Line is leading this effort with some innovative dining concepts. Certainly, one of the most innovative is Tamarind, an Asian fusion restaurant found on Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam. We were impressed with the Asian restaurant on Eurodam back in 2008, so we were anxious to try Tamarind on Nieuw Amsterdam.

Tamarind is located on deck 11 amidships just across from The Silk Den lounge. The restaurant is open for lunch on most days and dinner each evening. There is a $15 per person service charge for dinner, no charge for lunch. Reservations are required for dinner.
